Tom Alsop’s Creative Teaching Materials and Workshops for Teachers of World Languages

Hello, my name is Alan Garfinkel. Tom and I have been friends and colleagues since the early 1980’s.  We met through IFLTA and both went through the vice-president / president cycle. We were proud of the improvements in convention attendance and venue we made.  I am a co-author on a handful of Tom’s 280 publications. Recently, I have been handling the administrative details for the many workshops Tom offers the language teaching profession. It’s an honor to work so closely with so creative and capable a teacher as Tom. You have a chance to share some of Tom’s flair by taking one of his Aventura Cultural trips to Spain or Mexico. Another possibility is to watch the mail or this website as the semester begins in the fall to be sure you get information on the private venue workshop Tom will be offering. Alternatively, you may wish to combine with a few colleagues in surrounding schools to get Tom to do a workshop in your part of the country at a school site.
